New Year’s Eve Skiing Holidays With Kids

Spend New Year’s Eve with other Single Parents And Their Kids on a Ski Trip in the Alps

There’s little that can compare with enjoying New Year’s Eve in the Alps with your kids. Imagine the sparkle in their eyes when you watch the ski shows and fireworks together against the backdrop of snow-clad mountains, still buzzing from a day of skiing or tobogganing. Taking a week’s ski holiday with kids shortly after Christmas is the perfect way to welcome in the New Year, and can make a great antidote to the wet winter weather and family celebrations over the festive season. Get out on the pistes this New Year’s Eve – your kids will love you for it!

The best hotels sell out very quickly, of course, so you should always try to book as early as you can to get to one of the best places. So where should you try this year? One of the best bets over New Year is Tirol, where the guaranteed snow and amazing facilities offer a strong combination of affordability and top quality. And one of the region’s best skiing areas and voted amongst the top 10 ski resorts in Europe is the Zillertal Arena, the world’s largest skiing valley and a thoughtfully-developed dream of a region, with 179 modern lifts and criss-crossed by over 500 km of pristine pistes. These are all beautifully prepared, and resorts like Hochzillertal-Hochfügen have something for skiers and boarders of all abilities, making it the perfect destination for the less confident as well as strong skiers.

All the lifts in Zillertal are state-of-the-art (the Austrians offer some of the world’s fastest and most modern facilities, including the brand-new Geols panoramic lift), and the après-ski is also amongst the best in Europe, making New Year’s Eve more enjoyable still! For all you snowboarders out there, the half-pipes are great. There are also high-altitude cross-country trails (free, like the ultra-reliable shuttle buses), cleared winter hiking trails, toboggan runs and ice rinks for some extra fun away from the piste itself.

Zillertal is just 40 km from Innsbruck, making it easy and affordable to reach by air, and Munich is also a super-easy (and cheap!) way into the region from the UK. So if you like the idea of hitting the slopes in style this New Year’s Eve, then Zillertal has got to be close to the top of your Christmas list!

Single Parents on Holiday offer a 1-week ski holiday with kids for single parent families over New Year’s Eve from 26 December 2021 to 2 January 2022 at a beautiful 4-star family hotel with gala dinner, live band and  fireworks to see in the New Year.
