Your 4-star hotel:

For this solo ski holiday will stay at the wonderful 4-star Alpendbad Hotel Hohenhaus in walking distance of the cable car station. We have reserved spacious single rooms with balcony for our solo skiers. Hotel facilities include an amazing panoramic pool and whirlpool with view of the glacier, spa with several saunas, first-class restaurant and bar, and even a squash court and fitness room if you have any energy left after a day on the piste. This holiday is offered on “Half-Board Plus” basis, with breakfast buffet, après-ski snack, and 5-course dinner.

The Hintertux Glacier Ski Resort:

Hintertux is the only glacier in Austria where you can ski 365 days a year and one of only a handful of glaciers across Europe open to skiers all year round. The resort offers 21 lifts and 60 km of well-prepared pistes, as well as a range of other highlights, including the Ice Palace and the Spannangel Cave – a fascinating natural monument and the largest natural stone cave in the Central Alps. Our prices:

£1190 for a spacious single room with balcony and en-suite bathroom. This price includes half board “Plus” at our 4-star hotel, airport transfers, and services of one of Single Parents on Holiday’s team members, who will organise lift passes, ski hire, and ski lessons and offer company on and off the slopes. Programme

Skiing in Hintertux

The glacier circuit provides a total of 21 lifts with 60 kilometres of blue, red, and black pistes. If you are a beginner or wish to improve your technique, you can book ski lessons at the local ski school. Everyone else can join their SPoH tour leader, who will ski with the intermediate/advanced skiers. Your tour leader will also organise lift passes for our group of solo skiers and take everyone to the ski/snowboard hire shop, where your pre-booked equipment will be ready for you. Our hotel will provide a shuttle to the ‘Glacier Bus’ cable car station mornings and afternoons. Alternatively, you can walk there in less than 15 minutes. There are lockers and a ski hire shop at the cable car station, so you don’t have to worry about carrying ski gear back and forth.

Additionally to the glacier circuit, we will be able to ski in the amazing Zillertal Ski & Glacier World with 66 modern lifts and 202 kilometres of well prepared pistes. The entrance point is Eggalm, which is only a 10-minute shuttle ride from our hotel.

Our hotel has an amazing spa with several saunas and a pool and whirlpool with stunning view of the glacier to help you unwind after a day on the piste. And for anyone who feels like another work out, the hotel has a squash court and modern gym.

To make the most of your glacier experience, we recommend that you visit the Ice Palace at the top of the glacier with a drink at the impressive Panorama Terrace at 3,250 metres, and the Spannangel cave, the largest stone cave in the Central Alps.

About Hintertux

The Hintertux Glacier:

Hintertux is the only glacier in Austria open to skiers all year round. Located on the edge of the famous Zillertal Valley in Tyrol, and close to the mighty Olperer mountain standing at 3,476 m, the glacier offers a huge choice of pistes against a breathtakingly beautiful backdrop. One of the main attractions (and the longest run, at around 12 km) is from the Gefrorene Wand (“Frozen Wall”) all the way down to Hintertux.

The so-called three “glacier buses” – large gondolas taking you to the top of the glacier – are an experience in their own right. You will need to take three of the glacier buses to reach the very top, where you can relax with a drink on the Panorama Terrace, with its breathtaking views, and visit the unique Ice Palace, home to magical ice stalactites, vast, sparkling ice crystals, frozen waterfalls and even a glacial lake.

And if we want to venture out further, we can shuttle to Eggalm (only 10 minutes from our hotel), which is entry to the outstanding Zillertal Ski & Glacier World opening its 66 modern lifts and 202 km of well prepared pistes on the day we arrive.

Book your own flight from any airport in the UK and abroad. Your airport transfers to/from your hotel are included in our prices if you arrive/depart on the advertised holiday dates. Please note that for this solo ski trip, we will arrange your transfer by:

  • shuttle or taxi from INNSBRUCK AIRPORT (approx. 1.5 hours) shared with other solo travellers from our group if these arrive within 90 minutes of your arrival, or
  • shuttle from MUNICH AIRPORT (approx. 2.5 hours) – not exclusive for our group departing every 60 minutes

We are therefore pleased to announce that, at no extra cost to you, and in accordance with the “The Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018” all passengers booking with Single Parents on Holiday Ltd. are fully insured for the initial deposit, and subsequently the balance of monies paid as detailed in your booking confirmation invoice. The policy will also include repatriation if required, arising from the cancellation or curtailment of your travel arrangements due to the insolvency of Single Parents on Holiday Ltd.
