The 4-star Hotel Molindrio is part of the award-winning Zelena Laguna Resort. Kids facilities and kids club:

The kids club (4 to 12 years of age) offers supervised childcare in the mornings and afternoons, as well as mini-discos in the evenings. There is also a children’s pool at the hotel, as well as a playground.

The beach and water sports:

The hotel has a private, partly paved and partly rocky beach but you can use any of the beaches in the Laguna. For water sports enthusiasts, there is a water ski and wake boarding lift directly in front of our hotel, as well as a couple of water sports centres nearby offering windsurfing, stand up paddling, pedalos and canoeing, as well as banana boat rides and parasailing.

Excursions and activities:

Your Single Parents on Holiday tour leader will organise a range of optional activities and excursions (not included in our price), exclusively for our single parent families, which will include the following:

• a day at the nearby aqua park
• a boat trip along the coastline with time for swimming
• an afternoon at the adventure park Motodrom with go-karting, quad biking and high rope garden
• a boat trip to the coastal medieval town of Rovinj with time for sightseeing and shopping

Further, a visit to the medieval villages of Motovun und Groznjan inland of Istria, and a fishing trip can be arranged if any families are interested.

Istria and Poreč

Poreč is located on the peninsula of Istria, immediately south of Slovenia and Italy. Istria is widely considered the most beautiful region of Croatia, rich in history and surrounded by the deep blue waters of the Adriatic Sea. The region was colonised by the Romans in ancient times, who used this beautiful spot as their summer residence. The area has been subject to Venetian, French, Italian and Habsburg rule over the centuries, and was eventually incorporated into Yugoslavia in 1954 before Croatia became an independent republic in 1991. Istria was part of Italy in the early twentieth century, and the Italian influence is reflected to this day in Istrian cuisine, architecture, landscape and culture, and the use of Italian as a second language.

Istria has been an insider tip for many years. Its stunning coastline, rolling hills inland and beautiful old towns have attracted visitors from throughout Europe. It is the westernmost region of Croatia, and the largest peninsula in the Adriatic Sea. Boat trips along the beautiful coastline, stopping at different villages along the way, can be taken from directly outside the hotel. Also worth a visit is the town of Pula, home to the most impressive Roman amphitheatre anywhere in south-eastern Europe, a beautiful spot in its own right and the location of a range of music festivals throughout the summer months.
