Join us and other single parents and their children on a truly unique holiday on an Italian farm not far from Venice.

We will be staying at the Gelindo dei Magredi Farm, which is located in the Magredi, a huge nature reserve close to Pordenone at the foot of the beautiful Friulian Dolomites and a UNESCO Natural World Heritage site. This is the perfect place for you and your children to get to know the Italian way of life in a wonderful rural setting and to join in some fun activities for all ages, such as Italian cooking courses, bike tours, horse riding and much more.

Our country resort is located in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, home to the wonderful cities of Venice and Trieste. The area is famous for its vegetation and rare birds. On our 35-hectare ‘educational’ farm you will find endless fields where a variety of fruit and vegetables are grown, a pond, farm animals such as rabbits, pigs, chickens and donkeys as well as stables with 40 horses and an indoor and outdoor riding ring.

Activity Programme on Offer:

There will be a range of fun activities on offer for
all ages and may include any of the following:

• Visit of local farms and museums
• Guided bike tours
• Mosaic making course
• Italian Cooking Class
• Horse drawn carriage tour
• Horse riding in beautiful countryside
• Food and wine tasting
• A trip to the beach
• Fruit and vegetable picking
• Jam making
• Cheese making
• A day trip to the famous city of Venice

The classes in our programme will be run by a local teacher and will take place on the farm. Our single parents can either join and have fun with the kids making jam or cheese and more together, or they can simply relax by the pool with a book and rest assured that the kids are very well looked after nearby and having a great time!

The Farm and Facilities:
Our farm is the perfect retreat for families and offers accommodation in comfortable, air-conditioned rooms with ensuite bathroom, TV, hairdryer and fridge. The rooms are located in four farmhouses facing a lovely sun terrace and a good sized swimming pool. There is also a patio adjacent to the restaurant where you can enjoy home-baked cakes and ice cream in the afternoon and a glass of wine in the evening. In the main building is the farm’s restaurant where our single parents will have a dedicated area for breakfast and dinner. The cuisine’s emphasis is on specialities from the Friuli region and all dishes are prepared with fresh fruit and vegetables that are grown on the farm. In the evenings there will be live music, pool parties and discos to keep everybody entertained!
