Located a short drive from the historical centre of Ronda, in the heart of rural Andalusia, we have found the perfect retreat for a single parent activity holiday. We will stay in an 18th century mill, lovingly converted into a deluxe hotel, set on the edge of two national parks in the breathtaking landscape of southern Spain. The hotel is reserved exclusively for our single parents so you can relax in the knowledge that you and your kids are in like-minded company. Just imagine enjoying first class cuisine and finest wines over adult conversation with other single parents whilst your children are buzzing with excitement from their day's adventures.

The Hotel and Facilities:

A mill in the 1700s, this deluxe hotel was lovingly converted into a wonderful rural retreat with unique character. It offers superior accommodation in beautiful surroundings. Rooms are decorated in a rustic, modern style with en suite bathrooms and satellite TV. The hotel has a restaurant, bar and terrace as well as a small outdoor pool, children's room and table tennis. The adjacent wild garden leading down to a beautiful waterfall cascading into the local river has a lovely terrace set under fruit trees which offers an idyllic retreat on a hot day.

Special Activity Programme:

You don't have to be sporty to enjoy our activity programme - there will be something for every age and taste. Our daily activity programme will include a trip to the beach, the local alpaca farm, the medieval town of Ronda, a cycling tour, canoeing and much more. The programme will be tailor-made to suit the age of the children booked on the holiday and may include any of the following:

• A day trip to Ronda with its famous bullring and gorge, tapas bars and shops;
• Canoeing at the Zahara reservoir;
• Rock climbing/abseiling;
• Guided cycling tour;
• Visit of local Alpaca farm with picnic*;
• Guided hike through mountains, farmland & forests;
• Horse riding*;
• A trip to the beach - Costa del Sol (Marbella) or Costa de la Luz (Tarifa)*;
• Excursions to Seville including theme park*;
• A trip to the zoo in Jerez*;
• Massages and beauty treatments*;
• End of week BBQ.

The Area:

Our hotel is located close to Ronda, a stunning 3000-year-old town with imposing Arabic architecture, a famous old bridge over a 120m deep gorge and the oldest bullring of Spain. Once you have seen the sites, you can stroll around the antique shops or relax in one of the many Andalusian cafes. The area also has many pre-historical caves, Roman excavation sites, lakes and endless paths for riding and hiking.
Situated on the edge of two national parks, our hotel is ideally located for the nature lovers amongst our single parent families: You can enjoy walking, bird watching, horse riding or cycling.
The cities of Jerez and Seville and the coastal resorts on the Costa del Sol and Costa de la Luz are only approximately an hour away and make for interesting day trips.

The Cuisine:

The restaurant is beautifully set around an open central fireplace and features much of the original mill machinery. The chef has created an interesting international menu using only the finest of fresh local produce and seafood. The menu also offers an extensive list of fine wines including many locally produced vintages and a wide selection of international wines. Your children can choose from the kids or adult menu and will enjoy helping the chef making their own pizza in the hotel's restaurant!
